Terror threat to Bhakra Nangal dam: sources

New Delhi: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has intercepted a terror threat to India's largest dam- the Bhakra Nangal dam which is situated in Himachal Pradesh.
Sources in the IB told CNN-IBN that the Lashkar e Taiba and the Jamaat ud Daawa are planning to attack the dam.
The report says the Pakistan-based terror groups are planning out strikes during the monsoon - when the water level in the dam is at its highest - to cause maximum damage.
The report also says that the terror groups are training militants to scale the walls of the dam and to swim under water.
This report has been sent to the Himachal Pradesh government and the IB has advised the state government to tighten security around the structure.
There were three blasts in Mumbai on Wednesday killing 19 and injuring many. Thought no terror outfit as claimed responsibility yet, all leads are pointing at the Indian Mujahideen.
