Apr 10Home Minister P Chidambaram says the threat level in the country is pretty high with four Pakistan-based terror outfits working in consort. He said the four terrorist organisations -- Lashker-e- Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Jamat-ul-Mujahideen (JuM) and Hizbul Mujahideen -- were earlier operating separately but have come together now and intercepts of its cadres' conversations have mention of Taliban.
Talking to a private TV Channel, the home minister said the government does not know who is directing them and it is too early to draw conclusions.
He was responding to a question about reports that about 30 Taliban terrorists have entered Kashmir.
