No constraint to be allowed for armed forces: President

Kibithu (Arunachal Pradesh), Apr 7 President Pratibha Patil today assured the armed forces that no shortage would be allowed to constraint their performance.
President Pratibha Patil She said the modern army must equip itself with the latest weaponry and no shortage of any kind will be allowed to constrain the armed forces.
During her visit to the last military point Kibithu in North-East near India-China border, Patil said “Koi kami nahi hone di jayegi (no shortage of any kind will be allowed).”

Lending a personal touch in her address to the soldiers at Kibithu, she said “I have not come here as just your Supreme Commander but as your mother and sister.” Patil, who spent considerable time at the post with the soldiers and visited the surveillance system of the army installed there, said she still remembers the ‘Battle of Walong’ and salutes the courage of the troops.

After interacting with the soldiers of the 82 Mountain Brigade of the Eastern command, Patil told PTI that “I am happy to be here. Seeing the smiling faces of the soldiers posted here, I can see that the nation is safe in their hands.”
