Hyderabad, Mar 6 : Home Minister P Chidambaram today said that Pakistan has to dismantle the terror infrastructure and declare zero tolerance to terrorism.Addressing mediapersons here at a press conference after reviewing security situation in Andhra Pradesh, Chidambaram make it clear to Pakistan that arrests of one or two persons in connection with the Mumbai terror attacks was not enough and asked Islamabad to declare zero tolerance towards the scourge.
Replying to a question, Chidambaram said, re-scheduling of Indian Premier League (IPL) matches was unavoidable as the IPL and election schedule almost overlaps.
He further said that he was trying his best to ensure that the second edition of IPL matches would be held smoothly.
The League, involving many international players, has been thrust into the security spotlight in the wake of Tuesday’’s militant attack on Sri Lankan players in Pakistan.
Foreign players are raising concerns over travelling to the subcontinent after the attack.
The rescheduling would ensure no matches are held in cities when elections are being held. New Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad are the venues for matches.
